New drivers need the best tools and habits to survive and thrive in an ever-more-complex driving environment. This course reflects proven techniques for developing good driving skills and habits, all of which are concurrent with the state's recommendations and requirements for driver's education. The course consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of supervised driving, and 6 hours of observation (riding in the back seat while another student drivers) beyond class hours. Manual transmission lessons offered at no additional charge. The instructor is the President of the Sports Car Club of Vermont, an avid racer and motorsport enthusiast, race track instructor, ambulance driver, and emergency vehicle operation instructor.
